Church
TTT is a truly ecumenical initiative. There is a core group of stakeholder churches who largely fund our work in the town and surrounding areas. We also receive donations from other churches and private donors throughout the year.
We run a number of weekly groups based in different venues to offer a broad range of Christian witness to children and young people in the area.
The groups contain a mixture of games, discussion, drama, arts, crafts, multimedia, prayer and structured activities; with Christian themes framing the sessions.
We also support junior church sessions run in the
churches across the town and run dedicated courses, for example Confirmation preparation or Youth Alpha type programmes.
NEW for 2012 will be a FREE DJ-led Worship Night planned for Friday 2nd March at the new Farncombe Youth & Community Centre. The event will be called 'Big Noise' and will be open to all young people from school years 7+ regardless of where they are in their faith journey; especially if they are yet to set out on one!
We are currently reviewing the ages and timings of some of our groups due to popular demand so please see our Cafes/Clubs page for more details.
All young people are welcome to our groups, whether they have faith or are interested in exploring it further. We are also involved in a number of high season and other annual services in the town.
A vision to equip & resource
TTT simply can’t run church based activities in all its
supporting churches each Sunday as the team is not big enough! Our strategy is to continue to visit youth streams and junior church regularly in order to support
volunteers from the towns’ churches in leading their own programmes, with TTT advising on resources and training and leading where necessary.
This strategy means that the individual churches take ownership of their own programmes with our support, enabling longer term youth focused legacies to take root within the churches. This vision depends on us being able to deepen our volunteer pool. This may be something God has put on your heart to be involved in?
